"Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees... is by no means a waste of time."
That's me with my second baby (and my first!) - soaking in the newborn days while also navigating the beautiful, messy and exhausting reality of postpartum. I have two sweet boys and a wonderful husband who is my biggest supporter. Even with a great village, I know first-hand how much support new moms truly need.
Long before I knew 'postpartum doula' was a title, I had the honor of walking alongside many friends as they became new mamas, offering the kind of support that should be standard, not special.
I believe deeply that moms deserve to be cared for just as much as their babies. You don't have to do this alone. I am here to help you rest, recover and feel confident in this new season.
At Rest & Rise, postpartum care begins with the mother. I believe that when a mother is well-supported—physically, emotionally, and practically—the entire family benefits. My approach focuses on providing calm, consistent support during the early weeks after birth, creating space for rest, recovery, and meaningful bonding. Whether through newborn care, feeding support, light household help, or emotional reassurance, I aim to ease the transition and help mothers gain confidence in caring for their baby. My goal is to nurture a strong foundation for your family’s next chapter—one built on rest, connection, and empowerment.
